NORWOOD – A local narcotics investigation culminated in an apartment raid and an arrest according to a media release by the Norwood Police Department.

On Wednesday, Norwood Detectives executed a search warrant at 600 Lansdowne Way, Apartment #205. The operation was supported by the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force (NORPAC), a regional specialized unit that assists local agencies with high-level criminal investigations.

During the search, detectives reportedly uncovered a variety of illicit substances and paraphernalia. According to police statements, the items seized were cocaine and crack cocaine, Methamphetamine as well as packaging materials and digital scales which authorities say are consistent with the distribution of controlled substances.

The unnamed resident was taken into custody without incident. He faces three felony counts under Massachusetts General Law including Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B (Cocaine); Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B (Crack Cocaine); and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B (Methamphetamine). 

Following his booking, the defendant was transported to Dedham District Court for arraignment.

The Norwood Police Department has not yet released the name of the individual pending further court proceedings. This remains an active story, and we will provide updates as more information regarding the court appearance becomes available.
