NORWOOD – Families navigating the search for local childcare have a new community-focused option in town. Raising Stars Center has officially expanded to Norwood, opening its doors at 110 Kerry Place to provide state-licensed early education and care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.

Founded in 2018 by local entrepreneur Inga Yaghubyan, Raising Stars began as a small family childcare program in Dedham. Driven by strong community demand, Yaghubyan serves roughly 45 children daily, and is now bringing that same personal approach to Norwood.

Unlike regional or national corporate chains, Raising Stars operates as an independent, locally owned center where leadership remains directly involved in daily operations.

“As both an owner and a mother, I understand how important it is to trust the people caring for your child,” says Yaghubyan, whose one-year-old son attends the Dedham location. “I hold our teachers, classrooms, and programs to the same standards I expect for my own family. Our goal has always been to create a place where children feel safe, loved, excited to learn, and truly at home.”

The new facility at 110 Kerry Place features fully renovated classrooms outfitted with brand-new furniture, developmental toys, and hands-on learning equipment tailored to distinct age groups.

To support local families, the center emphasizes several key features including smaller group sizes allowing educators to focus on individual developmental needs and build strong, trusting relationships with each child.

To lead the team in Norwood, childhood veteran Jennifer Sullivan will serve as the center’s director. Sullivan brings over 36 years of field experience and a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education to the Norwood location.

Yaghubyan boasts their unique approach with nutritious meals and modern technology. The center provides daily meals and snacks, paired with real-time digital updates via the DailyConnect app so parents can stay informed throughout the workday.

Raising Stars Center is currently accepting enrollments for its infant, toddler, and preschool programs. Prospective families are invited to schedule a tour to meet the staff, explore the classrooms, and review the curriculum ahead of the upcoming term.
