NORWOOD — Local authorities are investigating overnight attempted vehicle break-ins along Feeney Road following a report captured on police radio communications Saturday morning.

Dispatchers directed officers to a residence on Feeney Road at 9:24 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, after a resident reported suspicious activity captured on home security video. According to police radio logs, the caller contacted the department’s non-emergency line after reviewing footage from the previous night, which showed individuals attempting to enter vehicles parked on the property.

The suspect or suspects were unable to gain access to the resident’s vehicles because the doors were locked. No property was reported stolen from the location.

While the reporting resident was unsure whether nearby neighbors’ vehicles had also been targeted, they requested an officer respond to the scene to file an official report.

The Norwood Police Department regularly reminds residents to lock vehicle doors, roll up windows, and clear all valuables—including keys, electronics, and wallets—from visible areas overnight to deter opportunistic property crime.

Anyone living in the Feeney Road area who observed suspicious behavior on Friday night or captured potential suspect footage on security or doorbell cameras is encouraged to contact Norwood police.
