BROCKTON – A new chapter of baseball is officially underway in the City of Champions.

The Brockton Rox are back for their 2026 season with the franchise’s new General Manager Connor Carey. The team looks to capitalize on the momentum of its recent “Revival Season” and further solidify its deep roots within the local community.

In an open letter addressed to the Rox faithful, Carey expressed profound gratitude and excitement about taking the helm at Campanelli Stadium—a venue he notes represents far more than just a sports complex.

“From my first steps into Campanelli Stadium, it was clear that this organization is about far more than baseball,” Carey wrote. “The Rox represent community, tradition, and a shared passion that brings families, friends, and fans together every summer.”

The Rox, who have long been a staple of summer entertainment in Southeastern Massachusetts, are aiming to elevate both their on-field performance and the fan experience under Carey’s leadership. Rather than starting from scratch, Carey views his role as an opportunity to accelerate the progress already made during the team’s recent rebuilding and rebranding efforts.

Carey’s vision for the upcoming season focuses heavily on a dual approach: maintaining a competitive edge on the diamond while ensuring Campanelli Stadium remains a premier, family-friendly destination.

“Looking ahead to the upcoming season, my goal is simple: to help deliver an exciting, competitive product on the field while continuing to elevate the overall ballpark experience for our fans,” Carey stated.

The team also announced a major hiring push for the upcoming season at Campanelli Stadium which is a short drive from Norwood. The team is looking to fill a wide variety of essential hospitality and food service roles to support the crowds heading to the ballpark for home games.

According to an announcement shared on the team’s official social media channels, management is currently recruiting for several key concessions positions. The front-of-house and back-of-house openings include cashiers, line cooks, suite servers, and bartenders. These positions will be vital to ensuring smooth operations and maintaining the fan experience at the stadium, which has long been a staple of local summer entertainment.

Team officials are encouraging interested local candidates to apply promptly as preparations for the summer season accelerate. Job seekers can access the application process directly through the link provided in the team’s social media profiles, or they can submit an application directly via email by contacting Connor at connor@brocktonrox.com.

For local sports franchises, success is measured just as much by community engagement as it is by the standings. Carey emphasized that the front office staff is entirely aligned on deepening the team’s civic presence throughout Brockton and the surrounding towns.

“Your energy, loyalty, and passion are the heartbeat of this organization, and they inspire everything we do,” Carey told fans, issuing an open invitation to both lifelong supporters and ballpark newcomers to fill the stands this summer.

With the front office energized and new leadership officially in place, the countdown to Opening Day is officially on. As Carey put it to the Rox community: “See you at Campanelli.” -RD
