NORWOOD – Norwood’s biggest town tradition of the late summer is just around the corner.
The Norwood Recreation Department officially kicked off the countdown to Norwood Day, confirming that this year’s town-wide celebration will take place on Saturday, August 29th.
In an update shared to social media, organizers expressed their growing excitement as the date approaches:
“Norwood Day is on Saturday, August 29th, and we can’t wait to celebrate our community with a full day of fun, food, entertainment, and activities for all ages.”
A staple of the late-summer calendar, Norwood Day transforms the center of town into a bustling hub of community activity, featuring local vendors, live performances, family-friendly games, and plenty of regional food favorites.
Inside Norwood is excited to be part of Norwood Day for the very first time! Stop by our booth on Washington Street to say hello, meet the team, and chat about everything happening in our community.
For residents and visitors looking to take part in the festivities, organizers reminded the community that buttons are required for access to all rides, games, and official activities throughout the venue.aYou can pick up your button before the event at the Norwood Civic Center, Town Hall, the Senior Center or Morrill Memorial Library. Of course, buttons will be available at several locations the day of the event.
With just four weeks left to prepare, local business owners, community groups, and municipal teams are gearing up for what promises to be another strong turnout on the Common.
As the Recreation Department summarized in their announcement: “We hope to see you there on Saturday, August 29th, for a great day celebrating all things Norwood!” For more information about Norwood Day, visit https://www.norwoodma.gov/departments/recreation/norwood_day.php
