NORWOOD – An 18-year-old Norwood resident has been taken into police custody following the execution of a search warrant related to an alleged extortion and violent threat investigation over the weekend.
Police say Logan Shane Henderson, of 17 Ash Rd., was arrested early Sunday morning and charged with extortion by threat of injury.
The arrest stems from an incident first reported to the Norwood Police Department on Saturday afternoon, August 1, 2026. At 3:51 p.m., when they allegedly received a call from a Milford, MA resident who claimed Henderson demanded $1,400 dollars.
According to Norwood Police logs, the victim was allegedly threatened that his home would be “shot up” if the money was not transferred.
The investigation progressed rapidly. Just hours later Norwood Police served a search warrant at the Ash Road home shortly after midnight on Sunday, August 2.
Police say they took Henderson into custody without further incident, and transported him back to the police station at 1:38 a.m. to be booked and processed.
Norwood Police will not release the arrest report since the case is pending prosecution and have yet to respond to our request for comment. Henderson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. -RD
