NORWOOD – The Norwood Town Common is about to get a whole lot brighter—and a little more galactic.
Local organization Progress Norwood has officially announced the return of the annual Norwood Pride celebration, scheduled for Saturday, June 6, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM. This year, organizers are taking the community on a trip across the galaxy with a stellar new theme: “Cosmic Kindness.”
The family-friendly event promises to transform the historic town common into a vibrant, space-themed Pride adventure, aimed at celebrating love, diversity, and community spirit.
Progress Norwood is rolling out a packed two-hour lineup designed for all ages. Attendees can look forward to:
- Creative Hubs: Face painting, hands-on crafts, and interactive games.
- Community Connections: Activities and booths hosted by local community partners.
- The Promenade: The afternoon’s crown jewel will be a costume contest promenade. Dust off your capes, glitter, and antenna—special prizes will be awarded for categories including Most Colorful, Best Alien, Most Creative, and Most On-Theme.
To make an evening of it, organizers are encouraging attendees to support Norwood’s vibrant downtown. Participants can pack a picnic from home or grab takeout from one of the many local restaurants surrounding the Common to enjoy during the festivities.
