NORWOOD – Local election officials are urging residents to mark their calendars and double-check their voter status as Norwood prepares for the upcoming State Primary Election on Monday, September 1, 2026. Polls across town will be open from 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM on Election Day.
With key statewide and federal nominations on the ballot, the Norwood Town Clerk’s office has released essential deadlines, early voting schedules, and mail-in options for local voters.Here’s a list of important voter deadlines and registration information:
- Voter Registration Deadline: Saturday, August 22, 2026 This is the final day to register to vote in the State Primary Election.
- In-Person Registration: Daily registration is conducted at the Town Clerk’s office, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. On Saturday, August 22, in-person registration will be hosted at Memorial Hall (1st Floor, Town Hall) from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Online Registration: Voters can register or check their status online at www.sec.state.ma.us.
- Vote By Mail / Absentee Application Deadline: Tuesday, August 25, 2026 (Deadline for applications to be mailed out).
- In-Person Absentee Deadline: Monday, August 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM.
